The Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 will take place in the Oslo, Norway, the host Broadcaster NRK and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has confirmed today. The two Semi-Finals of the contest will take place on Tuesday 25 May and Thursday 27 May, with the Grand Final on Saturday 29 May, 2010. The venue to host the competition has yet to be chosen.
“It is a great honour for NRK to host the Eurovision Song Contest once again. Together with our colleagues of the EBU we are determined to organise this event in line with the highest standards,” said Hans-Tore Bjerkaas, Chief Executive of NRK. Preparations for the 2010 contest took off as soon as Norway was declared the winner of the Eurovison competition.The Norwegian broadcaster hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 and 1996, as well as the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004.
“We are looking forward to work with NRK on this enormous production. A year from now, they will have the opportunity to show Europe and the world what they are capable of,” said Svante Stockselius, Executive Supervisor of the contest speaking on behalf of the EBU.

Noa y Mira han abierto el plan de ensayos del dia 4 de Mayo. La puesta en escena presenta muchos cambios respecto a la ofrecida en la selelcción nacional israelí. Esta vez, las dos vestidas de negro. Para su tercera actuación Noa ha decidido cambiar su vestido por unos pantalones. Durante el ensayo de su canción There must be another way , ambas se han mostrado vocalmente fuertes pese a algunos problemas técnicos de sonido con los micrófonos.
Hadise, la representante turca en el festival este año, ha aparecido en el escenario acompañada por un grupo de cinco bailarines, dos chicos y tres chicas. En su coreografía se mezclan algunos pasos modernos y otros de la danza del vientre clásica. Las pantallas de leds acompañan perfectamente a la puesta en escena, mostrando elementos como corazones y el titulo de su canción Düm Tek Tek. Otra de las grandes favoritas para estar en la final el 16 de Mayo.
Los suizos Lovebugs son unos de los muchos representantes en Moscú que han decidido hacer un gran uso de las pantallas de leds. Para su actuación han elegido imágenes de rascacielos que contrastan con otras imágenes de montañas nevadas. Los componentes de la banda han bromeado en el escenario e incluso han invitado al publico presente, prensa y técnicos a aplaudir con sus manos al ritmo de la canción. Sin duda Lovebugs son los representantes con una de las propuestas mas alternativas del festival.
Susanne Georgi, la representante de Andorra, ha aparecido acompañada por una banda de chicas, dos guitarras y dos coristas. Han optado por una coreografía y puesta en escena muy sencilla, como tratando de centrar la atención en los aspectos vocales. Esta vez en las pantallas de leds del escenario se han proyectado formas irregulares en tonos azules y rojos.
